As a proud DIY woman, I took on the challenge of transforming my entire kitchen—by myself—for less than $4,000. This renovation wasn’t just about saving money; it was about proving that with creativity, determination, and a bit of elbow grease, we can build the home we dream of.
I started by refacing all the existing cabinets and handcrafting new doors and drawer fronts to give everything a fresh, custom look. For the pantry, I found a pair of vintage double glass doors on OfferUp, trimmed them down to size, flipped them, and gave the pantry a completely new personality.
I demolished the old backsplash and replaced it with tiles that matched my style—bold, beautiful, and full of character. I upgraded the hood and built a custom DIY range hood cover above it, turning a functional piece into a design feature. I even flipped an old cabinet into a stunning vintage piece and placed it above the counter as a display. To top it off, I added a charming glass china cabinet to showcase my favorite white kitchenware.
One of my favorite upgrades? Creating an entirely new counter and adding a cabinet underneath on what used to be an empty wall. Every detail in this space reflects my style, my vision, and my hard work.
I’m beyond proud of what I accomplished—and I share it to say: If I can do it, so can you.
All the products I used are listed in my YouTube video so you can shop, learn, and feel inspired to tackle your own space.
If you are still looking for that one person who will change your life, take a look in the mirror.
